A Layout, A Card, & A Sneak Peek!

103_5381

Here is a layout that I managed to finish today. I really don’t know how I managed to finish this with my crazy day! This is a LO of my two youngest waiting for the bus on the first day of school. I am not really impressed with it, but guess what…. They all can’t be impressive now can they:) I am happy with it, I guess….

Now the card……….

This is a very simple card that I made from the scraps of a mini album I am working on. I will send it to my friend one of these days:) I just love it when I use my scraps right away instead of throwing them in my scrap drawer  :) It just makes me sooo happy!!!!

Ok…

Now for a sneak peek of my girls Senior pictures I picked up today. This is just one of each of the girls poses. The rest you will have to see later when I do a home decor project :) ok now the pictures….

Happy Birthday card

birthday card 001

This is the card I made for my bff Jani’s birthday! Happy Birthday Girl:)! This was a card challenge from the CTSC forum. Pattern paper is My Minds Eye, stamps are an old set from Stampin Up.

Can you believe I didn’t use my cricut machine??!!!! I really have been spoiled by my cricut machine! Ok, so all you Cricut owners, what did you do before you got your cricut?? Inquiring minds want to know! I will tell you what I did. I used stamps a lot, and I bought packaged die cuts, used stencils, and did some freeform cutting with a lot of mess ups. So basically I did a lot of cutting and wasting of cardstock and paper! I love my Cricut! I love my Cricut!!!!

Have a great weekend!

FCTSC Color challenge

001 So the colors that we had to use are black, dark green, and rust. I know it is hard to tell the colors in the picture, but I did use them:) I also used a piece of corrugated cardboard that I inked up, and the leaves are a walmart find a few years back. I bought 3 packages of these leaves and I am not even through the first package. I think I did a little overkill on that purchase! Although they were a really good price at 99 cents a package, I think that 2 packages would have been enough.. Well off the the craft room:) Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

FCTSC Wednesday card Challenge

80's day and card challenge 005
So I finally did a card challenge! :) I just recently joined From C to Shining C Forum. If you would like to check out the sketch and the site click here. I did my card a little different then the sketch. I always have to be different I guess:0 I am not a by the book kind of girl. Anyway, this challenge was great because I used all scraps that I had taking us space. I am slowly pecking away at my scrap drawer:)  I guess to make room for more scraps. What a funny process that is. We all try to use our scraps, but then we just add more. Such the life of a paper crafter:) Have a productive rest of the week!

X-mas & Birthday Card

cards 001
cards 002
Ok, the first card is possibly my Christmas cards this year. I still need to make a few more cards before I decide. The birthday card is just something that I started to make and went with the flow. I do think that it might need one more element. So this Friday again my friends are coming over to make more cards. So I will post them when they are done.
Anyways, I am still working on my daughters Wheelock pictures. I have to finish the last LO for 2nd. grade. I am almost done, but I haven’t had time to work on it for a couple of days. I think I have A.D.D. because this past weekend I started 2 big projects. I really need to stop and finish one project at a time:) does anyone else have this problem?? I start way tooo many projects at one time. I can’t help it because this is how my brain works….
Think about what I want to do…
Get an idea….
Get excited……
Then run with it and start the project….
Then start another project because as I am working on the one, an idea pops in my head then i have to start another project.
Maybe that is why I end up going to bed early. I just plum wear myself out with all the projects I start during the day:(
So if  any of you know of a cure for this madness I create just drop me a comment :) If you don’t have a cure, but suffer from the same madness drop me a comment and maybe we can start a support group. ( ha-ha) Like we need another project! See it is an illness!
So the projects that I started are faux finish a cedar chest and a mirror. So far it is looking good, but because I started 2 big projects at one time it is going to take me longer to finish them:( I guess it will be worth it when I am done and I redo my living room.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week:)

Folded Shirt card

Hi,
I just wanted to share a card that I am still working on for Father's Day. Yes, I said Father's Day, I know it is several months away, but I am trying to get ahead of the game! I thought this would be fun to share and the video on how to make this is here http://www.paperwishes.com/webisodes/?page=high&id=165
Once you get the hang of the folding it is really easy! Here are some ideas you can do with this card: Instead of buttons add a tie made from some ribbon ( ask Hubby to tie it for you if you can't do it yourself) cut the end of the ribbon to the shape of a real tie. Add some lace to the collar for a female shirt and use some decorative buttons. This card can be used for B-day invites, Just to say Hi, A mans B-day or female. Well I hope you have fun with this because I sure am!
Hugs,
Patti
